Upton-by-Chester
Community Choir

It's our birthday!

Wednesday 4th June marks the 12th anniversary since the choir began.

We have loved singing in local churches, events, Upton Pavilion, Upton Village Hall, local care homes, primary schools and the high school, for Churches Together, at Chester Cathedral, for Marie Curie, Tenovus in Wrexham, Llangollen International Eisteddfod (twice!), Flint RNLI, Deeside Hospital fundraisers in Shotton, Connah's Quay & Mynydd Isa, Chester Storyhouse, 3 Taverns Tour. We have sung at weddings and sadly, at funerals of dearly loved members no longer with us. We have sung by the banks of the River Dee, recorded videos together during the pandemic, sung to the locals in Waterloo (Merseyside) & Criccieth. We are an all-weather choir, having occasionally sung in brilliant sunshine, mostly rain and most memorably a torrential downpour for, appropriately, the RNLI!

From the early days in the Kempe Room at Holy Ascension Church, the choir has grown in numbers and had a couple of location moves too!

We are a happy, inclusive group and these photos show just a small snapshot of our happy times together in the last 12 years. Keep checking in, because different photos will appear each week!
